FirstAid Air Conditioning Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”), serving Palm City, Florida, and the surrounding areas, is committed to safeguarding the personal information of our job applicants. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect the data you submit for employment purposes.

To evaluate candidates for HVAC technician, installer, and support roles, we collect the following Personal Identifiable Information (PII):

  • Identity & Contact: Name, current address (Palm City/Treasure Coast area), phone numbers, and email.

  • Professional Credentials: EPA Section 608 certifications, NATE certifications, trade school education, and relevant HVAC field experience.

  • Driver & Safety Data: Valid Florida Driver’s License number and driving history (required for field technicians).

  • Background Data: Employment history, references, and information regarding criminal convictions (evaluated in accordance with Florida labor laws).

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform essential job functions (e.g., lifting heavy equipment, working in attics/extreme heat).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely for recruitment and hiring, including:

  • Verifying your technical certifications (EPA/NATE).

  • Conducting reference checks and, upon conditional offer, background/driving record checks.

  • Determining eligibility for employment under Florida and Federal law.

3. Data Transmission & Security (Florida FIPA Notice)

Important: Your application is transmitted directly to our hiring team via email. While we strive to protect your data in accordance with the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA), please be aware that standard email is not a fully encrypted method of communication. By submitting this form, you acknowledge the inherent risks of sending sensitive personal data over the internet.

4. Data Retention

  • Hired Candidates: Application data becomes part of your permanent personnel file.

  • Non-Hired Candidates: We generally retain applications for 12 months to consider you for future openings. After this period, records are securely deleted or destroyed to prevent unauthorized access.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. We share information only with:

  • Internal Management: For interview and hiring decisions.

  • Third-Party Vetting Services: Only for background/driving checks if a conditional job offer is made.


Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk
